PRAYER

The Prayer Ministry of LSCC is specially commissioned and committed to praying for the body of Christ, propagation of the Gospel, the sick and the needy, our church, our members, families, community, United States, all our political leaders, and all Nations of the world in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:1-4

VISION

Being the available vessel to stand in the Gap for God’s People and God’s Work here in RCCG LSCC, RCCG NA, RCCG worldwide, and the Church of Christ in general.

The Vision of the Prayer Department is based on two anchor scriptures:

Ezekiel 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it”

Luke 18:1 “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart”

Matthew 18:19-20 “Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them”

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the intercessory group of the Church, the responsibilities to the Church include:

To support the church and leadership in the place of prayer as intercessors.

Prayerfully support for all upcoming, special program & Sunday Services, in LSCC, RCCG NA, RCCG W/W and in the body of Christ in general.

Receive prayer requests from members through “Prayer Request” Box (or personal discussion with the Group) and agree with them in the place of prayer laying hold on relevant God’s promises regarding those issues.

Share spiritual revelation as a guide for adequate intercession.

Build up the personal spiritual growth and enrichment of all church members– the main focus of the prayers shall be first for the spiritual improvement of the members of the church and secondly for the members of the Prayer Department.

CORE VALUES

Dependence of God: We rely on the inexhaustible resources of God in the power of the Holy Spirit for everything his work requires and for all answered prayers.

PASSIONATE: We are very passionate to see the desired results of the prayers – James 5:16

INTEGRITY: We consistently integrate God’s character into thoughts, words and deeds.

HUMILITY: We put aside self to serve God and others.

PERSISTENT: We keep asking, seeking and knocking until we receive the answer. Mathew 7:7.

WORD- BASED: We deepen ourselves in the Word of God as we understand that it is prayers that are based on the word of God that are answered – John 15:7

SELFLESS: We are first focused on the concerns of the Church before we seek our own requests. Because we understand that as we seek the good of others, God will see to ours as well. Proverbs 11:25

CONFIDENTIALITY: We must keep the information discussed during the prayer meetings highly confidential out of love for the persons concerned.
